Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the WebBorn mobile application (the “App”), provided by iLabbs Corporation (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. WebBorn is an educational app for learning web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks) and building websites. It is available for iPhone and iPad (from the App Store) and for Android phones and tablets (from Google Play). Where the two versions differ, this policy says so.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create an account and has no sign-in. The only personal information you provide directly is an optional first name you enter during onboarding, along with your chosen experience level and daily goal. These are stored on your device and are never transmitted to us.

2. Your Code, Projects and Progress

The projects you create, the code you write, and your learning progress (lessons, exercises, streaks and statistics) are stored on your device. We never receive them.

iCloud Drive (iPhone and iPad, optional). If you turn on Keep projects in iCloud Drive, your projects are stored in your own iCloud account by Apple, under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot access them.
Android backup (Android). If backup is turned on in your device settings, Android may include the App’s projects, progress and settings in your device backup, stored in your own Google account by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy, so they can be restored on a new device. The downloadable AI model is excluded. We cannot access these backups. You can manage backup in your device’s Settings.
Previews. Your web pages run in a browser view on your device. If your own code loads resources from the internet (for example, an image or an API you choose), that request goes directly from your device to that website, under its own privacy policy.
Home Screen widget. The streak widget reads your streak and daily goal from the App’s storage on your device. Nothing leaves your device.

3. AI Tutor

The AI tutor runs entirely on your device. On iPhone and iPad it uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) where available, or a language model you choose to download; on supported Android devices it uses a language model you choose to download. The questions you ask and the code you share with it are processed on your device and are not sent to Apple, Google, us, or any AI service. If you download the optional model, it is fetched from our content delivery network; like any download, the request includes your IP address, but no personal information is sent and we do not use it to identify you.

4. Automatically Collected Data

Like most apps, the App and the third-party services it uses (below) may automatically collect certain information when you use it, including device identifiers (such as advertising identifiers), IP address, device model and operating system version, app usage and interaction data, and crash and diagnostic logs.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each of which collects and processes data under its own privacy policy:

Google AdMob — serves in-app advertising (banner, native, interstitial, rewarded, rewarded interstitial and app-open ads). It may use device identifiers (the IDFA on iPhone and iPad, subject to Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission; the Android advertising ID on Android), approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads, subject to the consent choices below. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — manages your advertising and analytics consent choices.
Firebase Analytics — collects app usage and interaction data (for example, screens viewed, lessons completed and features used) to help us understand and improve the App. Collection is disabled by default and is turned on only once your consent choice allows it.
Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic logs to help us find and fix bugs. Collection is disabled by default and is turned on only once your consent choice allows it.
Apple App Store / StoreKit (iPhone and iPad only) — processes Premium subscriptions and the one-time purchase. We receive confirmation that a purchase is active; we never receive or store your payment details, which are handled entirely by Apple. The Android version has no in-app purchases.

Analytics and crash data are not linked to your name or contact details, and we do not sell your personal information. Data sent to these services is encrypted in transit.

6. Advertising, Tracking & Your Consent Choices

After onboarding, the App shows a consent form through Google’s User Messaging Platform where the law requires it. If you don’t consent, ads are not personalised. You can change your choices at any time:

Ad and analytics consent (all devices): in the App, Profile → Privacy choices (shown where required).
iPhone and iPad: the App requests permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before the IDFA is used for advertising. Change it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s Settings (for example, Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on your device).

On iPhone and iPad, Premium removes all ads. The Android version is free and supported by ads.

7. Permissions

Notifications — used only for optional learning reminders that help you keep your streak. Reminders are scheduled on your device; no push notification server is involved. You can turn them off in the App (Profile) or in your device’s Settings.
Internet — used to load ads, send analytics and crash reports (with your consent), download the optional AI model, and run web pages you build that use online resources.
Tracking (ATT, iPhone and iPad) — see section 6.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your local progress, projects and settings stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App (and, if you used them, from the WebBorn folder in your iCloud Drive, or from your Android device backup). Because there is no account, there is no account data for us to delete. Data collected by the third-party services listed above is retained according to each provider’s own policy; contact us if you would like help with a request.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the email below and we will take steps to remove it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold your data on our servers, most of these rights are exercised through the controls above or with our providers; contact us and we will help.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision.
